Terry Tocci for GMARO Magazine
This photo spread is for the incredibly talented designer, Terry Tocci! After working together with Christopher Alexander at many fashion shows, Terry wanted to put me in her own designs. She organized a shoot with the multi-hyphenate Matthew Brandon, who worked with Terry as her stylist, MUA, and photographer. Simply set up in Terry’s backyard, we relied on her fashion-forward designs, Matthew’s makeup and photography skills, and my modeling style to create a meaningful showcase of wearable art!
This shoot is the epitome of the modern fashion industry, as three independent artists collaborated to present our talents without expensive studios or big-budget equipment. Working with Terry and Matthew was a dream, and I can’t express how magical it was to see such high-fashion shots come out of a fun backyard photoshoot.
Terry Tocci curated this shoot to express the full spectrum of identity and style, and thought I would be the perfect representation of this. One of my biggest goals as a model is to blend gender lines, exploring grey areas within the gender spectrum, as I firmly believe that clothing, or your physical presentation, doesn’t determine your gender identity. I jokingly say (with genuine intent) that a piece of cloth won’t determine the color of my hair, so why does it have to determine the gender I feel most comfortable with? I identify as a cisgender man, but there’s no reason my platform heel should tell you differently. As her muse for this shoot, Terry dressed me in outfits that emphasize gender neutrality, encouraging me to bounce between masculine and feminine presentation.
The images from this shoot were proudly selected by GMARO Magazine for their November 2025 issue. Below are a few of my un-edited favorites, as well as the shots selected for the published spread.
